Pick a style, get this week's times.
Our Sheffield timetable changes as classes fill and new styles launch, so we keep it off the page and send the current version straight back to you — day, time, the studio address and how to pay for session one.
- Single class £10 · four-week block £32
- Every style runs a beginner-friendly level
- Timetable back to you within a day
The only two prices
A tenner. Or £32 for the month.
Every class on the Sheffield timetable costs the same whatever the style. Pay per visit, or book four weeks of one class and each session drops to £8. Nothing recurs, nothing to cancel.
Walk in, dance for an hour, walk out owing nothing. Ideal for sampling two or three styles before you settle on one.
Four consecutive weeks of the same class. Routines build across the month, so this is where the real progress lives.
Zero commitment, on purpose. Sheffield has enough gyms with twelve-month contracts. If you stop coming, you simply stop paying — and if you're on a block and miss a week, ask and we'll do our best to slot you into another night.
What's on
Twenty styles, all under one roof.
Partner dances, street styles, theatre jazz and a few you might not expect. Each one has its own page explaining who it's for, what a session looks like and what to wear on your feet.
The first hour
What actually happens when you walk in.
A quick hello
The teacher checks your name off, takes your £10 or block payment and finds out whether you've danced before. That's the whole induction.
Loosening up
Ten minutes of mobility and rhythm to music — enough to warm the legs and settle the nerves before anything technical.
The building blocks
The style's core steps, broken into pieces small enough that nobody falls behind. Repeated until they feel obvious, with the teacher walking the room to fix feet and frames one at a time.
Putting it together
The blocks become a short routine to a full track. First-timers follow the outline; regulars layer on the detail. Same room, same song.
The studio
Right in the middle of Sheffield.
Classes are held in a city-centre studio within easy walking distance of the Peace Gardens, the Moor and the Division Street bars — which means you can come straight from work or lectures and still make a 6:30pm start. The full address arrives with your timetable.
Trams, trains, buses
The Supertram, Sheffield station and the interchange are all a few minutes on foot, so evening classes are realistic from Rotherham, Chesterfield, Barnsley and Doncaster.
Driving in
Evening parking in the centre is cheap after six, and Kelham Island, Ecclesall Road and the universities are all ten minutes or less by car or bike.
Good to know
The questions that stop people booking.
1I've got no rhythm — is a Sheffield dance class really for me?
Yes, and you're in the majority. Rhythm isn't something you're born with; it's something a good teacher counts into you over a few weeks. Every class on the timetable runs at a level where a total novice can keep up, and if you tell us you're nervous we'll suggest the gentlest style to start with.
2Is there a joining fee or membership?
No. You pay £10 for the class you attend, or £32 if you'd like to book four weeks of the same one. There's no registration charge, no monthly plan and nothing that carries on charging you after you stop.
3Can I bring a friend, or come on my own?
Either works. Roughly half of each class arrives solo, and in partner styles like salsa and ballroom everyone rotates so nobody needs to bring anyone. Friends are welcome to book together — just mention it on the form so we hold two places.
4Are the classes only for adults?
Adult classes cover 17 to 75 and the age spread in any room is wide. Some styles also run sessions for younger dancers between 6 and 16 — choose the age band on the enquiry form and we'll tell you which classes are open to them.
5Do you provide shoes, props or kit?
No — bring your own. For most styles that means clothes you can move in and clean trainers. Tap, heels, ballet and pole have their own footwear notes on the class page, and everyone should bring water. There's nothing to hire on the night.
6Why isn't the timetable published on the page?
Because it moves. Classes shift rooms and evenings as new styles start and popular ones add sessions, and an out-of-date web page sends people to an empty studio. Tell us the style and the nights you're free and we'll send the live timetable the same day.
